The news of a fatal crash of any GA aircraft is profoundly bad to all
of us - when it's one of "ours" it hits home even harder, if possible.

One thing I'm somewhat confused over however is the reference to
"a Columbia 300 kit plane". If I'm not mistaken, the Columbia 300
is Lancair's new certificated aircraft, but not a "kit plane". Is this
just the usual abominable crap we've come to expect from the media
whenever they have anything to say about "little airplanes"? Was it a
Columbia 300 or was it a kit? I hope Lancair gets the word out ASAP on this.
