Because the oil system improvements, alone, on the XP360 make it a better
engine.

PS. We
did the FAA certification run for Superior on that engine. Among
other things, we carefully measured the oil passage pressures to make sure the
long standing problems with the Lycoming oil passages were solved in the
Superior modification.
Also,
we ran the engine in a rather enhanced durability test which the engine passed
with ease.
It
should be a good engine.
Why stop at an experimental 360 when you can get a
X390 from Lycoming (210 hp before you "soup it up".
