I'm going to be so bold as to ask you who are involved with the following
discussion to take it off the mail list and respond privately to each other.
It's nice that you have your opinions, but I find the discussion, at this
point, not related to building a Lancair and not beneficial to the general
list.

Thank You,
Curtis Krouse N753K

when was the last time you visited fallingwater?

I believe Cy Galley was referring to the September 2000 article in
Scientific
American by Robert Silman entitled: "The Plan to Save Fallingwater"
In that article, it describes the miscalculation of moments in the
cantilever
section of deck overlooking the river and the repairs performed over the
years to shore it up.  It may be still standing, but SciAm article suggest
that it may not be so for long without intervention.  Being a joy to
experience
is orthogonal to being structurally sound.  What does it matter how many
people
have enjoyed its appearance if it collapses?  If what you are buying are
dreams
then the Zehrbach engine may be a good investment in your case.  He
apparently
is offering something that you want.  Are you believing it because it is
real?
or because you want it to be true?  If you've got the money, then by all
means,
put it in a plane and fly it.  Make your dream come true.  And I hope the
money
is truly disposable, because that may well be what you're doing with it.
