What sorts of things should I be recording in the aircraft logbook?

Hello Rob,

I believe that you should record the leak tests, control rigging, etc in
your BUILDERS LOG, not the aircraft log. Technically, until you get your
final inspection and Airworthiness Certificate, it ain't an airplane, just a
collection of parts. Once it's an airplane (you have your AC) then I believe
that it's proper to keep records in the AIRCRAFT LOG. I'm not an A&P
mechanic( although I play one on tv) but I checked with an AI on this and
she confirmed it. This also explains why it's not in your Cessna's AIRCRAFT
LOG either.
