You are correct, I apologize for my errors drawing from memory. Yes, I did
obtain a radio station license to travel in Canada. I am not sure one is
now required for Canada. Cost $100 bucks too. Lancair sells a POH for
about $35. It is worth the price and I would encourage all builder flyers
to have one in their craft.
Oh yes, if you have 3 inch letters on the side of your plane; make sure the
green arc on your air speed indicator is 180 or less knots, else you may be
grounded. I was at Salt Lake City till I supplied some timed runs, placarded
the plane, changed the green arc, noted in repair logs and changed the POH.
to 180 knots max normal cruise. You will of course need those 12 inch
plastic letters on the side if you travel out of the US and return.
