    Some radar Altimeters allow a reminder to be set at a certain low
altitude if the gear is not down.  I find that it is important to keep
you landing gear status firmly in mind when you are low and the radar
altimeter solution is good plus it is a very valuable addition for IFR
and night.  I have one in my L IV and love it.  My brother in law has
SFS system and it has a virtual radar altimeter which is not perfectly
accurate so he added a radar altimeter and loves it.
