Maybe some day. I asked them at OSH specifically just that, and they said they didn't have any plans for it, and followed with some incoherent mumbling as to why, which I promptly ignored. I don't think George will change his mind. His system should work great in the hands of a slightly experienced operator that understands how to use it, and has the proper engine monitoring tools. That's why I'm first in line to get one. And to Rob: I do have a "blower" so I will be able to get that power back, so :P Also, with the cooling issues on climb/cruise I've heard from some Lancair owners, as well as the experience I have with these problems in our own new Cirrus SR22 (IO-550), I think the cooling benefits of LOP operation are VERY real and not something to just dismiss. 400 degrees is not acceptable IMHO. I'll gladly give up a couple knots (or, just push the knob in to bit more :P) for an engine that runs long and hard to TBO and beyond.....I'm new to this, and don't even consider myself knowledgeable, much less an expert on this subject (like George), but it does make sense to my little engineering mind....... --- Shannon Knoepflein <---> kycshann@kyol.net
