I was concerned about water getting into my H.stab & wings as well.  In
my conversations with Lancair tech support, they suggested that I drill
two 3/16" holes in my ribs, one in the middle and one at the lowest
point so that if any water found its way in, it could get out.

I plan to add a drain hole in every compartment of the fuselage that
could
trap water.  But what about the wings and tail?  Would it be wise to do
it
there, too?  I was surprised that the instructions are to drill vent
holes
centered in the ribs, but there are no notches in the bottom to provide
a
drain of any kind.  Any opinions on this?
