My aileron trim tab is 5.5 inches wide and is very sufficient.  Since the hinge loops are each .5 inches, six of the loops are the part that is imbedded in the aileron trailing edge, with remaining interior five loops a part of the tab.  During construction, it seemed to look best that way.

Trim tab adjustment is with a very brief touch of the rocker switch when adjusting for the addition of a copilot. Little movement is noted when looking at the tab.

I also pumped fuel equally from each wing tank to the header tank, so in flight adjustment is rare.
