It is centered on the Orange County area of California. This is a 40-year old club that gathers for monthly dinner meetings with an aviation related dinner speaker. In addition, typically once a month, there is a weekend flight put on by various members to spots in the Northwest and Southwest. A sampling of recent flights have included: a trip to McMinville, OR to visit the Spruce Goose (including a tour inside the normally closed plane due to insider connections of a member); Idaho Falls, ID for the 4th of July; Yuma, AZ. Some previous flights included visits to the newly opened Kartchner Caverns and a visit to the Lancair factory at Redmond OR over the 4th of July. In addition, the club's president puts on a 10 day or so trip to an area of his/her choosing. Over the years, these flights have included places such as the Mid-west, New York, Alaska, and Canada. Probably the most benefit for future member would be if you live in the greater Los Angeles area, but we still have members in Nevada, Oregon, and all over California. If you're interested, please send me a snail-mail address and I'll be happy to send you a newsletter for August when we finish it in a week or so. This will include the next dinner meeting location on the third Wednesday of the month to which you are cordially invited to meet some of the members. Sincerely, Charles and Joanne Patton LNC-2 N360JM
