Jim White and I also bought the Lancair soundproofing kit, and have left it boxed up on the shelf due to the weight. I've ridden in several Lancairs that had no soundproofing, and they didn't seem too noisy to me (partial hearing loss from flying back seat in the Phantom for many years). Do you think soundproofing is needed/a worthwhile improvement? One reason for not pursuing this was the large number of fittings/connections on the back of the firewall that must be accommodated--very hard to get good, continuous coverage. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this, as we're at a critical time for this in our projects.
