I have been doing this training in a well equipped 182RG (in preparation for my Legacy). I am to the point where I need to start studying for the written and I need some suggestions. I have the FAA Instrument Flying Handbook and am reading it. 1) For my private ticket, I used the King interactive CD. I was pleased with this coarse, got a 95 on my test, but it took a long time and was pretty expensive. I am looking for a coarse like this for my Instrument rating. I am considering the King or Sporty's DVD course. The Sporty's is cheaper and looks a little more elegantly prepared, but that's all I know. Any suggestions? Should I just go to a 2-3 day class and do it that way? 2) What do you all suggest as far as getting my rating from here. I have considered going to one of the week (or 2) long training courses down in Florida to get my rating. Any comments on this? Any recommended places? I'd like to do this as quickly and painlessly as possible. Quickly is the most important. I did my private with a local instructor that runs a freight company, but with my busy schedule and his, it took about a year and a half. I can't and don't want to wait that long to do my instrument. Money really isn't an issue. Any suggestions are welcome. --- Shannon Knoepflein <---> kycshann@kyol.net ------=_NextPart_000_000B_01C20D4D.F3192730 Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
