Grayhawk, Grayhawk, Grayhawk...what are we to do to you? ...always experimenting... don't you know that the gear-up runway landing length requirement is NOT required in our flight manuals?  <G>

Seriously, I'm glad that you are in one piece and did not get hurt after this incident and it sounds like 2EX will eventually fly again.  I'm sure you've analyzed this 'experiment' in you mind to no end.  Hey, it could happen to the best of us.   

A few times, I've found myself doing my GUMP check on short final due to distractions while in the pattern.  Normally, I do the GUMP check right after I dump the gears on downwind, another check on base and a final check on final...  Scares me sometimes with this happens (i.e. mind lapse)....
