I recently landed at Sedona, AZ while trying to utilize the famous
"Airport
Vortex" to automatically extend the gear when close to the mesa -- Don't
do
it! This technique failed on the first try and I am reluctant to try it
again
after the engine is torn down, the prop replaced, and the cowling and
belly
are repaired.
