Hi Dan,   I have the same ELT (ACK) in my 320. Great choice since it uses
flashlight batteries. How many other Lancair parts can you buy at the 7-11?
Anyway, after searching for a good mounting spot I came to the conclusion
that it could either be accessible or out of the way but probably not both.
I ended up making a glass bracket for it behind the baggage bulkhead. I
attached a small length of 3/4" pvc tubing to the fus side to capture the
antenna and keep it from slapping the fus side. Advantage 1 is that it is
out of the way. The 320 has damn little extra room for anything. Advantage 2
is that it is probably in a better position to survive a crash being out of
the way of flailing baggage, etc. The obvious disadvantage is that it would
require some post-crash digging to get to it. For me, I felt that out of the
way was best.
