My ELT fits snugly behind my seat on the fuselage floor adjacent to my
hydrualic pump.  I built a little vertical wall across the entire seat
back to close out this compartment.  This allows the baggage area
maximum space for baggage, (and kids etc).  This compartment is
accessible through seat back access panels.
