For Lorn Olsen and others with nose gear alternate extension problems, I'll
add my two-cents worth along with Rob Wolf.

I had the same binding when first installing the sleeve/spacer Rob mentions.
Since I hadn't shortened it any, I guessed it was just a taste too short. I
spaced it with two thin washers, if I remember, one on each end of the
sleeve. Problem solved. Side to side free-play of the strut pivot is maybe
five thou and no binding - my gear free-falls down and locked quicker than
when being pumped down.
