This may help your father.

I ran my engine 50 degrees on the rich side of peak EGT for the first 213
hours.  The nickel ran as follows per each 25 hours --
2,7,14,17,15,16,and 16.

The last 25 hour sample was after I ran the engine 50 degrees on the lean
side of peak EGT.  The nickel was 8.  In addition the iron  dropped from
114 to 85,  the copper from 10 to 5, the chrome from 21 to 7, the
aluminum from 12 to 4 and the silicon from 8 to 6.

I will be most interested in looking at the next analysis as I am still
flying the engine on the lean side.  All engine temperatures are running
cooler.   I still get 242 knots TAS at about 65 % power.
