The
only convenient place is RNO, Reno-Tahoe International. Stead is closed all week
except for participants. Be ready for elevated tiedown fees, most likely in the
weeds/dust off the pavement. RNO is basically in town, with hotels within
blocks.
However, if you are willing to drive your rental car a
little further, you could land at Truckee, CA airport (TRK) and stay in the
historic town of Truckee which is right on I80 about 25 miles west of Reno and
about 10-15 miles north of Lake Tahoe North Shore. It would make a nice mini
vacation for a family.
