Maybe as more of the old "spam can" fleet "retires" and buyers experience "sticker shock" for new ones, this will put upward pressure on prices. All this being said, I thought about buying a Lancair, but the truth of the matter is that I enjoy building almost as much as flying. Anyone contemplating building an airplane should feel the same way. One reason I chose a Lancair to build is that I knew, or at least thought subconsciously, that this was going to be a "once in a lifetime" endeavor for me, so I wanted to do it right the first time (build the best plane for the buck). At present, I don't plan to ever sell my Lancair, but pass it down as a family heirloom, a "Legacy" so to speak ... Dana Westphal L2K-165
