At Al Joniec's request, I am forwarding the following posting.  Please note
that Al is the designer of the EngineAir engine and the President of Engine
Power Systems.

>From Al Joniec:

EngineAir Power Systems has an apparent propensity to draw a crowd.  In
every crowd there are supporters and naysayers and we are no different.  Our
company has had to air its dirty laundry with the aviation community and it
is a well-known fact that its customers recapitalized the original EngineAir
in good faith.  Perhaps, because we have been willing to share openly our
inner workings, people expect that to continue.  Not wanting to disappoint
them, we will again openly discuss our activities.

One of our most important steps for us is the fact that we will be pursuing
certification in the near future.  This certainly may shock some, but
undoubtedly surprise many.  The engine has been flying successfully for
close to 7 years now and those who believe in the technology are willing to
support our efforts to gain that most revered certification.

As to mysterious problems and/or failures - there are no mysteries.  Every
problem has been carefully evaluated and steps taken to alleviate it
happening again.  The dictionary defines "experimental as: relating to, or
based on experience". We exemplify proudly the term Experimental, and are
happy to share that title with the Wright Brothers.

We are not the National Enquirer, and it is neither appropriate nor
necessary to confide any or all of our evaluations to the public at large.
The people entitled to that information are our customers and only on a need
to know basis.  It is our philosophy that any problems and/or successes are
beneficial in creating the final engine package and that has proven to be
correct.  Our quest for certification will most likely have failures and
successes as any other company who has pursued this title.  Make no doubt
about it; even certified engines have problems.  There is no such thing as
absolute perfection, and only a fool or a liar says they know everything.

It is tiresome and dilutes the energies of the company to address its
future.  We have made it through 9/11 and other economy struggles and feel
that our size is an advantage.  Our customers are starting to fly and we
have many new projects currently in R & D which will further enhance our
advance in the aviation market.  People have thrown rocks at us since our
inception over 8 years ago and we're still here!
