However, more than half the hours I put on the airplane ARE on trips over 2.5 hours. If I could NOT fly the 700 to 1100nm legs, comfortably, then it would really call into the question the utility of owning the aircraft at all, since those kinds of trips are the ones that truly make it worthwhile to own the airplane, in the first instance. Regards, George PS. BTW, I predict the Eclipse will never make its range promises, either, given that it is premised on a 2700 lb empty weight, which is wildly optimistic... by about 300 to 400 lbs.
