on the subject of jack stands, I purchased "c" channel and drilled two holes
in each piece and bolted it alongside the main spar with 12" sticking out of
each stub wing. I used standard adjustable car jack stands and welded a few
additional inches onto the bases with some 1" angle iron. I welded a tall
one for the front where it holds the engine. it was very fast and ~$80 when
all said and done for the steel and jack stands. I use them all the time.
