The indicator light would not come on while the other 2 were illuminated as usual. The emergency extension seemed to work. While taxiing the gear light went out. On jacks, I removed the terminals from the microswitch, re-attached them, and the light came on and stayed on. Seems to be a little corrosion at the terminal interfaces. There were no other problems noted with the linkages or hydraulic functioning. These microswitches are all exposed and not waterproof and this kind of false indication is not what one needs. Has anyone else experienced this and have recommendations to prevent?
