It turns out the gear door was getting in the way due to wind force as well as a plastic spacer on top of the slider being slightly worn. The door appears to have been catching the gear on the brake assembly on the way back. We fabricated another spacer and it seems to have done the trick. I will also be cognizant of retracting my gear less than 110 kts. As a coincidence, I received Service Bulletin SB061-0918 in the mail this afternoon. This speaks to modifying the gear door to have a .25 inch slider instead of the factory .125. We measured it today and it was .185, so the original owner must have modified it already. I will check with him later. Anyway, thanks again.
