To Doug, who asked about the source of the valves I used to replace
the brass water valves that came with the kit for the gear dump valve
and the fuel shut-off valve. I must have hit a sore spot with this one
since I've received numerous emails asking the same thing. I'll repeat
the note I sent below:

Hi Jim:
Here's the info you asked for re. replacement valves.
The brand name is "NUPRO" and they are a "Swagelok" company. They
apparently have distributors all over the place so, where ever you
are located, you should be able to find them. You can find the local
dist. by going to the Swagelok page on the net at:
http://www.swagelok.com/index.htm
and then it's an easy point and shoot to find what you need. Here in
the South Bay section of the LA area, the distributor is Long Beach
Valve & Fitting Co., at (562)494-6694.
Ask for the catalog sheets for their P4T & P6T Series plug valves.
They come in Stainless Steel or Brass, have a range of sizes and end
fittings and offer several different colors for the handles.
For reference, my hydro system is plumbed with 1/4" tubing so, for
my landing gear dump valve (shunts high to low pressure circuit for
emerg. extension) I used their number SS-2P4T4. For my fuel shut-off,
I plan to use the SS-4P4T4 for the 3/8" lines there.
Hope this gives you what you're looking for.

Incidentally, I think I mentioned it in yesterday's post - the
operating pressure for the ones I chose (SS material) is
3000 psi. Should be OK in the gear hydro system, as I've had
that one installed for several years now, and I run an emergency
drop test at least once per month so it gets exercised fairly
often, and all is well.
