I am a commercial pilot and notice that even low/slow production aircraft come with static wicks. I am not going to go where no man/woman has gone before, but I AM aware of a need to dissipate static and bleed off electrical energy if one is so unfortunate to come into contact with a charged cloud. Since most experience has been with metal or carbon fiber, I am particularly interested in how to ground e-glass airframe and components. Do we spin a web of wore around all critical components? How do we carry the static from one wing to the tail? I am aware of the kits from Aero-Options and have tread some articles on lightning strike technology. I am hoping there are others here who share my interest. ****Dave Boone**** ***Pegasus Mail*** >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
