I got out my AC43.13-1A (Acceptable Methods, Techniques, and Practices) Manual, and read Chapter 10, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems. Regarding double-lap flares, one sentence in particular got my attention: "A double flare is used on soft aluminum tubing 3/8-inch outside diameter and under, and a single flare on all oher tubing." Then I thought, here's an opportunity for me to get another neat tool to add to my arsenal. Happy Building! Hope to see you at the Lancair fly-in!
