The wrap really soaks up oil and is subject to abrasion. The HI Temp paint
is recommended by the manufactuer and does increase the life of the wrap
considerably

Safety wire cuts through the wrap much faster than the hose clamps or the
slick SS bands the manufactuer sells

I just used high temp silica to fix heavy duty kitchen aluminum foil to the
areas, inside the cowl,  near the pips and that stopped my paint from being
toasted.
