We are currently pursuing type certification for it, so it can't be complete junk .... ;-) Here's the real story: We use a COTS processor, Rockwell GPS and Honeywell magnetometer. These devices are proven, available and suitable for the application. We purpose-built everything else specifically for this product. Brent would have you think we cobbled EFIS/One together out of used computer parts and old Volkswagen mufflers. It just ain't so. >>The vacuum powered mechanical gyro for attitude sensing is scary. The vacuum ADI is our lowest cost option for Attitude, and comes with TSO approval, which means it's not complete junk either. We will be showing our solid-state ADI at Osh, which is not yet approved. Failure flags for both vacuum and major subsystems via cross-check is, of course, part of the package. To Brent's dislike of my system all I can offer is to take a look at it first, and consider the source. He is selling a similar product for 5x what we are, but the systems are different. There is certainly room for both in the marketplace. As to why he is attacking it so vehemently without seeing it, please see above. >>Do not imagine for a moment that the Blue Mountain fellow has discovered a >> way to make a system comparable to the SFS EFIS-2000 for 1/2 to 1/3 the cost. Closer to 1/5 the cost actually and, yes, we have done that very thing. Come see it. You'll agree.
