Hi guys. I have found a Lancair 360 that I would (I think) like to purchase. Is there a service to get a fair valuation of this plane, or is there anyone on the list that may be able to give a non-biased opinion about the actual value if I provide the stats? Reason I am paranoid about it: I currently am flying a Pulsar that I purchased a year ago, and have been trying to sell it. I can't seem to give the thing away ( and I'm not going to either...guess I'll have 2 planes hanging around). Maybe it's just going to take a little longer to sell. This is after alI my first experience selling an airplane. I didn't pay what would seem to be "too much" at the time. There were a few others for sale, and all were right in the price range. The Lancair is a much bigger purchase, and although I plan on keeping it for a long time, you never know (I have a propensity to change motorized vehicles like underwear).
I have couple of questions about the Lancair 360.
Is it a fairly decent IFR platform, or is it too twitchy? I really want a nice IFR capable plane.
Does the fiberglass and carbon fiber degrade over time? Basically, you see these 1950's and 60's Cessnas flying around all over the place. 50 years from now, will we be seeing Lancair IVP's and 360's flying around? Doubt I'll have it that long, but if it's a nice plane, ya never know :).
Thanks for the info.
