When most cell phone systems were built around the older analog technology
10 years ago it was possible to swamp a service providers network. However,
with the dominant technology being CDMA, which is a digital system, the
network can't be swamped. The network will only allow you to use one cell
site at a time and will proficiently hand you off from cell to cell as you
pass through the system. The worst that could happen is that your flight
will carry you through the network so fast that the net won't be able to
keep up with your travel path and drop your call.
I for one wish that government agencies would implement a better system of
keeping their codes up to current times.
