I just recently purchased an airplane with a 13B. It is
about 95% complete, but I'm going through it thoroughly to ensure everything,
including the engine, is up to spec (so really, it's about 85% done). I
have a few questions on it.

Welcome to the
group. I'm afraid I can't answer any of your specific questions, since
I've only used Tracy's EC-2, and his drive, but I'd be interested to know what
type of plane you bought. The list seems to be almost evenly split between
RV's and backwards plastic designs (which I like, but could never
build).
