Ken, I am not certain of the weight of the LS1 coils. I did weight the
Mazda coils and they came out to a total of 8 lbs, 5 for the trailing and 3
for the leading
However, my estimate is the 4 coils approximate in weight (this is the hold
in one hand and hold in the other method) the Leading coil's weight of 3
lbs. Perhaps someone else has weighed them. \
If not I'll take the scale down to the shop with me next time I go.
I doubt the average current draw exceeds 3-4 amps per coil and probably
only one coil (maybe two) coils are drawing current at the same time, but I
don't know that for a fact.

Seems that I remember that the Mazda leading coils pull 7 - 8 amps. It
doesn't seem that there would be much of a difference but I can always hope
for less!
