I did weight the Mazda coils and they came out to a total of 8 lbs, 5 for the trailing and 3 for the leading However, my estimate is the 4 coils approximate in weight (this is the hold in one hand and hold in the other method) the Leading coil's weight of 3 lbs. Perhaps someone else has weighed them. \ If not I'll take the scale down to the shop with me next time I go. I doubt the average current draw exceeds 3-4 amps per coil and probably only one coil (maybe two) coils are drawing current at the same time, but I don't know that for a fact. How much do the LS1 coils weigh? I think the Mazda coils weigh a total of 9 lbs but those notes are at home so I'm not certain of this number. > 2. How many amps will the LS1 coils pull while in flight (Tracy???)? Seems that I remember that the Mazda leading coils pull 7 - 8 amps. It doesn't seem that there would be much of a difference but I can always hope for less! > > Ken Powell > > > > Hi Ken > > > > The vendor is a WAYTEK, Inc.
