I serve on the Homebuilt Aircraft Council for EAA and we are doing our best to bring the interests of the real homebuilder back to front and center. It was my idea to feature airplane that were built on a tight budget and have them on the flight line in front of everyone to see. I also pushed hard to add Homebuilt airplane camping and this year we added 80-100 new camping sites for home builders with a brand new shower facility. Most of us on the council are working hard to bring it back to the roots. We have the ear of Bob Warner and Tom P when we meet at Oshkosh. I am just a volunteer like the rest of the people on the Council and we are committed to making it a place for us who love to build and fly our own aircraft.
