The turn at the top was so tight that it probably looked a lot = like the end of a tube to the wave. Also I know the bottom manifold was = bad for air flow.=20 Using the IDA type manifold spreads the tubes from 90mm CL to 120 mm CL = apart and that would permit a gentler bend for the wave.
