You and I have failed to get the power because we have experimented with our own solutions.

For the record, I stole my intake design from Paul Conner, so I can always blame him :-)

I notice that there is the old theme of induction questions and interest coming up again.  (true, I am raising it too) and perhaps the time is right to join forces and come up with a bolt solution that will be available for all.
It seems to me that an EDDIE target of 5500-6000rpm could be cobbled into a manifold that would be effective in the RV's and the Glastar and the Canards.  Perhaps I'm dreaming, but it seems all the talent is available. (not one single person mind you) and, if we can figure out how to actually have a joint effort that produces a working solution, beneficial to all, then we all leaped ahead in our experimentation..

Sounds good, but hopefully, it won't come to that.  I happen to know that there are talented folks already working on this, and they could be available sooner than you think (which is all I'm allowed to say).  If it will only fit my cowl...

Cheers,
Rusty (don't ask)
You've probably mentioned it before Rusty, but I can't remember, too much message traffic. What parts is your engine built up from? How does your porting, rotor weights, compression ratio, etc. compare to Tracy/Ed?

My engine is also down on power compared to others flying, I figure it's producing around 120 HP at 5200 RPM in climb. But this is exactly what it should be producing per Mazda specs for an 1986 6-port engine. I regret not having it ported when it was overhauled.

When I built my new intake manifold, I initially had the runners too long, and lost over 100 RPM. Shortening them back to the stock length, I got the power back. So the short intake could be robbing some power.
