Hi guys,
I have a pressure sender, plus a vent plug, on top of the rear housing, a
heater port, I think.  This is the second highest point on the engine after
the filler neck. When there have been air bubbles in the system, the
indicated pressure goes up rapidly, more than temperature would warrant, to
more than 30psi indicated.  It helps me to know to get more of the bubbles
out, and then pressure reads about 23psi at 190 on the coolant temp.
Regards,
Tommy<><

Re: Mystery of the leaking coolant
In "The Book" Tracy strongly suggests installing a coolant system
pressure gauge. It sounds like it might be a good suggestion, in light of
the trouble you had.
