If you really want the Oh S***! performance factor, the 2.85 is the right way to go.  I'm still willing to sell you my old prop but you can skip that step if you want.   Seems like a lot of expense for a short term improvement in top speed.  The Warp Drive prop will probably equal the Performance Prop on takeoff performance.  Spend that money of the new engine mount!

Hi Tracy.  I definitely still want your old prop!  In fact, the Warp Drive is off, and the prop hub is (impatiently) awaiting the arrival of your old prop.  I'd REALLY love to have it by the weekend (Paypal standing by for a final amount).   As for expense, money is no object.  I figure Rev-3 is going to cost me $4500 up front.  I'll likely keep the -B drive, and perhaps have it reworked to a -C if that all works out.  As long as I have the -B box, I'll keep your old prop, but if I get it reworked to a -C, I'll sell the Warp and your old prop.

As for the Warp Drive's climb performance, either it isn't as good as you think, or my engine isn't making the power it should.  There's no excuse for only getting 1500 fpm with as much power as I should have.  This is the main reason I want your old prop, so I can compare rpm's between our engines.  I may very well be taking a performance hit from the current intake, but I won't know until I try your prop.   Did I mention that I still want it :-)

Now for a question- If you had to choose between flying a -C drive, and monster prop with 1.26 degrees of left offset, or flying it with zero offset, and 1 degree of main gear offset to the right, which would you choose?  Just how much of a problem would the extra 1.26 degrees of wrong thrust angle be?  Certainly takeoffs would be interesting, but would it be unmanageable, or just an inconvenience?

Thanks,
Rusty (trying to remember who it was that talked me out of the 2.85 drive originally <g>)
