| I opened a u-tube page a while ago to easily share ground ops and flight video’s related to my RV-9A build, and now have included some 7A video’s recently made.
It’s located here if anyone is interested in viewing that. Dennis said he averaged about 9 gph and mission planned 10 gph for cross-country sorties, while cruising between 7 and 9K ft. With a Cato 76X88 prop, it cruises nicely at about 170-175mph and climbs out at 1-1.2K fpm, but climb rpm is limited to about 5400-5500 rpm, which makes it feel like it’s running in “3rd gear”. Such are the compromises experienced when using a fixed pitch prop. :) |
