Remember when testing power and ground disconnect the load to prevent damage to circuits and use a test light to confirm it will carry a load, DVOM will not tell you that.

I pulled the monitor and opened it up and hooked up 12 v and ground directly to the 15 pin connector, and low and behold the monitor lit right up!  It’s nice to know that it lights up and the monitor works, but now to find out why it doesn’t do the same thing when in the panel.  I checked each pin in the 15 pin D-Sub, before pulling it out, and all wires terminate where they needed to go, and I have 12 volts and ground…
