I have my oil pressure sender and temp
probe in the alum block on top of the oil filter pad.
Where you have a 45 deg elbow I have the Renesis stock oil
pressure switch (for Hobbs and separate low oil pressure warning
LED).
I pulled out the big hose barb below that, threaded the hole (too
much, thus the JB-Weld) and have a home made long (2") temp probe
sticking into the water coolant flow there.
Don't know if the EM2 handles the stock temp sensor. Would have to
look at the manual. I'm fairly sure it's not a linear sensor, but
can probably be calibrated to work in the desired operating range.
I use the LM35 0-5V temp chips in my home made temp probes. Have
now regretted that. Should have used type-K thermocouple wire for
all high-temp probes and the LM35 for lower temp (air) probes. The
thermocouples respond instantly; the LM35 housing introduces
several seconds delay at rapid temp changes.
I use these 0-5V pressure senders for fuel, coolant and oil.

It would seem the simplest option to bringing oil temp sender data into my EM2, is to simply use the existing 13B temp sender, and calibrate it as needed to work in harmony w/the EM2. Does anyone know if that will work okay, from your experience?
Thanks.
