2. The picture on the schematic seems backwards to the actual
alternator, and there are no markings on the connector. Is there a way to test
which terminal is the sensor (direct to battery) and which is the idiot
light?

The picture on the photo
from the manual is correct. There's no doubt about it. As for
voltage, attached is a photo from one of my early runs.
