Yes using the distributor on the early models but you would have better luck using an electronic ignition. Mags that are available don’t like to run at high rpm. They fitted some Kawasaki Z1s to run at Bonneville but they misfired above 7000 rpm. Easily reached by the rotary. You could run the AA/FD mags but they are huge. They draw a lot of power too. SDS EFI makes a nice fuel injection and ignition. Powersport ran a conventional Mallory electronic ignition, and a Aircraft mechanical injection. Ran great.
