Blast from the past. In Jan 2006, I had flown to Shady Bend, Fl to visit Tracy Crook. While there, I get a phone call from my wife telling me that she had gotten a call from my airport telling her my hangar had blown away! Well, I must admit I was a bit at a loss for words, "What do you mean?" I ask, but, that was all the information she had.
So I returned home to Goose Creek airport to find my qunset hut hanger looking like in the photo. My aircraft stay in that hangar 99% of the time and I am sure it would have been totalled had it been present when a thunderstorm took the hangar for a ride.

I later replaced it with this one and later added a door - the lack of which may have been a factor in the 1st one getting caught by the wind and torn loose. I also threw cables over the top and anchored the ends in concrete. The second one has remained to this day.
