Have not drilled for the damper plate yet.........Has to be done very accurately...........Dave Leonard had
his drilled by a machine shop.............After mounting the damper to the fly wheel the entire unit should be
balanced even though the fly wheel was balanced..........I have a rotary table for my CCM (cheap Chinese
mill) so may do it myself even though I would not make a pimple on a real machinist's behind.........
You should go through the Fly-rotary archives for the series of E mails + photos of how Dave Leonard
accomplished his flywheel conversion..........One thing he had to do was take a small amount of metal
from his starter mounting flange to compensate for the starter ring gear of the steel fly wheel being slightly
farther back (toward the rear housing) than the ring gear of the gen2 flex-plate............
