S= ome of you may know/remember Max Lassache (Austrian born) who flew to Sun &= Fun from New York state several times in his rotary powered wooden bird (c= an't recall the make). Well, Max is set to fly the Atlantic back to Austria here in a couple of= weeks in his rotary powered bird - if all goes as planned. He has a 13B = with Tracy's EC2 (early, early version), redrive and my EFISM fuel manageme= nt system. I am not certain, but I think this will be a first for a rotary= powered aircraft. He has carefully planned the trip and done a lot of test flight to accurat= e calibrate for fuel burn and distance (carrying aux fuel tank in cockpit),= changed his oil and carefully look it over for metal, spark plugs, etc. S= o, he called me today to let me know that weather permitting he would proba= bly start his trip over Labor day week end. I know you will all join me in wishing Max a safe and speedy trip. Ed Edward L.
