I lost a T-18 to a tornado once, but losing one to your mechanic sounds even more painful. Sorry for your loss. There are several good prop makers out there, but if I were in your position, I'd start with Sensenich. http://www.sensenich.com/ They have made props for just about everything imaginable, and their prices on wood props have been very competitive in the past. And with honest info on airframe performance, HP of the engine, prop diameter limit, and prop rpm range, they will likely come pretty close on 1st try. Biggest issue is likely to be diameter vs rpm. With a 3-1 reduction, it will be turning pretty slow, which normally means a large diameter prop. I don't think they make 3 blade props for our HP range, & you may need one. For 3 blades, http://www.cattoprops.com/ has a great rep with Lyc guys, but be sure he understands your operating parameters. http://performancepropellersusa.com/ is also good, and likely cheaper than Catto.
