greg, certainly hope not. A lot is happening here
in OZ. My glastar has finally shaken the shackles off having flown off the
required engine hours. Have a new reduction box ready for manufacture of a
prototype in the new year. For that to be tested I have to make up another motor
which I am currently working on. It is amazing what you do differently the
second time around! Case in point is the intake runners to the P port.
this time the bellmouth starts at 3 inches dia and reduces to 2.25 inch to give
me an ID of just over 2 inch whereas a 2 inch pipe gives almost 1/8 inch
undersize. Narrowed the front plate to get a ‘bullet” point, which means a
different cowl altogether. Exhaust may finish up from inconel once I can
buy less than a full sheet! So am busy getting parts together as
usual. Day time jobs keep impeding progress, but what else would I do??
Neil.
